She continued on to study at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of MT where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a minor in Gerontology. In her spare time, Karissa enjoys reading, spending time with her family, going on runs with her new dog, hiking and backpacking, and is learning to fly fish. “The most rewarding part of being a pharmacist at Juro’s is getting to make a real impact on real patients. I love being called to answer a question when a patient comes into our store. We, as pharmacists, are easily accessible whereas one-on-one time with other healthcare professionals outside a clinic or hospital can be hard to come by; that opportunity to connect one-on-one and spend time helping patients better understand their health is why I became a pharmacist.”
